What Separates a good personal trainer from a bad one?

We human beings are highly intelligent.

Would you be surprised if I told you that our lives are pretty much controlled by habits?

Some good ones and some bad ones.

Our habits are not processed in the main part of our brains, instead they are processed in a very primitive part of our brains. So basically we are all clever but some of our habits are not so clever, unfortunately.

That is because we are not really in control of our habits, they control us.

As a long standing personal trainer in Loughton, Essex I have come to the conclusion that  me and a client are not going to get good results unless we get on top of things and change some bad habits for good ones.

Some tweaks here and there can produce big gains but I am going to have to get under your skin.

This is what will separate a good trainer from a bad one. Your personal trainer’s ability to get under your skin.

You as a client are going to have to submit yourself to a certain degree, to your personal trainer’s knowledge. Together we are going to have to build up a mutual trust.

Now don’t get me wrong.

We are not going to change your whole lifestyle and turn you into me. You will always be you but what we are looking to do is to add some healthy habits into your life.

We are going to have to work together to bust some of your habits, otherwise we will be wasting our precious time.

Our target is to build the best version of you.

Once you become my client, you will understand that the exercise bit is only one part of the package. There are so many other things in your life that we need to look into and hopefully improve, as we go along.

We need to look into what you eat and drink first and foremost. We may need to look into not only  stress management but also how you breath.

You may think this sounds ridiculous, but we also need to make sure that you get enough sleep.

 

When you put me in your corner you are not just buying a  personal trainer who is going to get you fit you are actually looking to make some changes in your lifestyle and hopefully you will carry some of the lessons that I have taught you for the rest of your life.
