Is it easy to get lean?
It is probably not that easy but it is definitely not impossible.
If you quit your job and sold your car and embarked on a healthy eating and exercise regime then you would most likely get a result.
3 hours of exercise a day and eating real food meaning no processed foods and takeaways. Let’s say 4 months down the line you should be lean or at least a lot leaner.
It might not be the easiest of journeys but if you can handle being hungry and sometimes not sleeping that well, then this could be an option for you.
Now the big question is; once you get lean are you going to stay lean?
Let’s say you had quit your job and sold your car to get a result. 4 months down the line you go back to your own life.
I am now talking about working full time and not being able to exercise 3 hours a day and you also go back to your old eating habits. Beers and takeaways etc.
The sad truth is, within weeks you will be back where you were 4 moths ago, so your transition is not a permanent one.
This is the same principle as people who follow diets. You have enough discipline to follow a diet for a given time and that should give you a result.
So what you have gained here once you have lost all the weight and put it all back on again is an experience.
Now my advice is if you are serious about getting lean and staying lean the answer is skill development.
Yes that is right you need to have a deeper understanding of nutrition to be able to manage your eating.
Gaining an experience from a failed diet is not quite the same.
What you need if you want to be able to get lean and stay lean is skills that you put into practise.
